Day 30: Nicole Quincy

Dear Nicole,

Hi Nicole!! My oh my how I wish you were here. I would have SO much to tell you, but I know you already know everything. I am so thankful for you and the 18 years that I got to spend with you. You were truly the definition of what a best friend should be and I thank God every day that I got to be one of your closest friends. I will never forget growing up together and playing soccer and basketball. Remember that one time I told your dad at half time of a basketball game that he really needed a mint? Hahah I will never forget that!! You were always the first person I wanted to tell things to and I still feel that way now. There are so many times something will happen and I wish I could pick up the phone and tell you and get your reaction/get advice (you always have the best advice). Throughout high school we got so close and senior year was UNFORGETTABLE. I will forever cherish every memory that we made. Football games. Beat the drum. Christmas lights. College signing days. Basketball games. Morp. Prom. Literally senior year, we were inseparable. I will forever be thankful for the strong friendship we maintained that year. You have always meant the world to me and still do. I wish I could see you again, but I know you are in a better place, singing with the angels and living eternally with God!!! Keep shining down on my darkest days and forever showering me with your love and spirit. I miss and love you so much!!!!

Love you forever and always 33.

Day 29: Art

Dear Art,

Hahahahahaha hi Art!!!!! I am so thankful that your dad, Matthew Counts, adopted you a little over a year ago. You have been such a joy in all three of our lives. Remember that one time you ripped up your new toy that I got you literally 2 minutes after I gave it to you?? Lol that was fun to clean up 🙂 ALSO remember when you threw up in the middle of our living room and we had to clean that up too and get the smell out? HAHAHAHAH it all has been such a blast!!!! I wouldn’t want to be a doggie aunt to anyone else but you!!! You are fun to spoil!!! I am also so glad that come May 26, Allie is officially going to be your mom. You are going to be one lucky pup with those 2!!! Well, just know how much I love you and adore you so much!!! Come visit soon!!!!

I love you!!! (Also shout out to this bomb family pic of all of us hahahahahahaha)

Day 28: Lori Summerford

Dear Lori,

Hi Aunt Lori!!!! I know this isn’t the best picture of us, but it was the only one I could find of the both of us so I had to use it!! I cannot begin to tell you how thankful I am for you. You will never know how much your continuos love and support means to me. It always means so much when you come to one of my games. Ever since I have been playing, you have made an effort to come to as many games as you can and it just means so much to me. You are just one of the greatest people ever. I have always admired your heart and work ethic. You love family time just as much as I do and I am so blessed to be apart of this family. I am so glad we have lived close all my life so that I have had the chance to really be close with you all. I love ALL our game nights that we have. Every time I come home from college, I always look forward to the first time we all get together. Every time we are all together it is just always so much fun and I am so glad everyone else enjoys them just as much I do. I think you are such a great role model for more people than you think. I think you are PERFECT for the job you do. I just know all those kids in there love you so much!!! How could they not?! I am so blessed to have you as an aunt because you are just seriously the best. I love you so much and never forget how much you mean to me!!!

I love you so so much!!!!

Day 27: Emily Brightman

Dear Emily,

HI EMILY!!!! Holy cow, it has been way too long since I have seen you/we have really caught up. I just wanted to let you know how thankful though that I still am for you. It always makes my day when I see a text come across my phone from you. I love that even though we are almost 4 years out of high school, we still stay in touch. Man oh man…..high school. Senior year was definitely unforgettable because of you. I am SO glad that Nicole introduced us and that we got close because I will cherish every memory we made forever. I was just looking back at old photos and realized how much we did together. We went to numerous football games together. We were in the same Morp and Prom groups. You threw me a “surprise” birthday party. You freaking took me to Disney World over Spring Break which was just ahhhh so amazing. We went to the 80’s dance together. We went to a lot of baseball games. There were so many more and looking back, it just made me miss you a lot. That summer after we graduated was absolutely the worst, but I am glad that I had you. I honestly don’t know if I would have made it through without you. I feel blessed we will always be connected through Nicole. You are such a special girl Em. I love seeing all that you are doing at Baylor. It looks like you are really loving it there!!! Well, just know that I miss you and I love you a lot and we need to get together soon the next time we are both in town. I still value our friendship a lot and your texts every now and again never go unappreciated. (Ps, I will do better keeping in touch)!!!

Day 26: Maria Gomez

Dear Maria,

MARIAH CAREY!!!!!! Hiiiii. I miss you. I am so thankful for you!!!! Of course I had to pick this picture because Album Long Legs will forever be the greatest thing we created. Nothing will compare to the memories me, you, and Kate made last year rooming together all season. Waking up at 6 am to Hillary Duff. Making up weird laughs just to laugh even more. Jamming out to Cheetah Girls and then some hard core rap. Kate telling you that you used a lot of mousse (and then to her astonishment finding out you still had 5 handfuls to go). And so many more that I will cherish forever. You are just one of a kind. I am so glad that for 3 years of college we remained friends and were able to do life together. I value our friendship so much!!!! I wish you were here in Abilene for our senior year, but I know you are doing much greater things in Florida. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you because I know it is going to be great. I just have a great feeling that great things are coming your way!! BTW…I miss my GoPro buddy. Definitely would be better if I had my partner here to catch some footage too. Well, just remember you are the best and I MISS YOU A LOT!! Never forget how truly special you are Maria!!!!!

Day 25: Stephen Baca

Dear Baca,

Hi Coach Baca!!! Major throwback pic…lol definitely 4 years ago. I am so thankful for you!!! You definitely played the biggest part in shaping me into the athlete I am today. Going to Performance Course 6 years ago was BY FAR the best decision I ever made. At that point, my sophomore year of high school, soccer was becoming very routine. I was on the route to burn out, but after joining Performance Course and being coached by you, I found my love for the game again. I wanted to show up everyday to work out because it was fun and I knew I was benefitting greatly. You helped me grow so much. I got stronger. I got faster. You helped me grow outside of sports as well. You have taught me numerous life lessons that I still carry with me today. You have been such a good role model in every aspect of life. You are just seriously the greatest. When people ask who the greatest coach I ever had is, I always answer you. You just do so much for all your athletes. I am sure every athlete that you have coached can easily agree with me that you are one of the greatest. You have inspired me to want to go in to coaching just so I can give back to athletes what you have taught me. Never forget how appreciated you are!!

Love you!

Day 24: Lauren Neely

Dear Lauren,

TWINNY!!!!! Hi!!! I miss you a lot. Like a lot a lot a lot. I am SO thankful for you. Seriously, cannot imagine life without you. Granted we haven’t seen each other in awhile BUT we still text and every chance we do get to see each other, it is like no time has passed. You are so special to me. Every time I reflect on my glory days of high school (lol) I cannot think of one memory that you aren’t apart of, especially soccer. I would not have survived/enjoyed it as much as I did if it wasn’t for you. We made so many memories that I am definitely going to cherish forever. I can never thank you and Vianei enough for giving me an unforgettable senior year. Outside of soccer was also a blast. We used to hang out all the time, and it was pretty nice only living 45 seconds away from you. You have been there for me through all the highs and lows of life and I just cannot say enough how thankful I am for you. You are like the little sister I never had….I mean we are twins so it makes sense. I am so proud to see all you have accomplished at college. I love seeing you live your dream of playing college soccer and I love to see all your relationships you are forming on and off the field. I cannot wait to see what God has in store for you in the next few years because I have a feeling it is going to be great. Well, I love you lots and miss you tons!!! You mean the world to me Lauren, never ever forget it!!!!

I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!
